Game studio id Software recently released a Announcement about the planned mode they would introduce in the video game Doom Eternal.
There was supposed to be an invasion mode that would be introduced into the game as free content, but they had to cancel it due to the global pandemic. Working remotely made it difficult for the team to complete development. They are now going to offer Horde mode instead.
The Ancient Gods expansions and master levels offered a lot of interesting gameplay and battle and id software so that fans loved it. This is the reason for them to offer Horde mode instead. This will be a new single player experience that will offer players more diversity and challenge.
Battlemode is currently being worked on, which will have a more competitive, rank-based structure with several new gameplay and balance updates and a new map.
More details about these new updates will be revealed at the upcoming QuakeCon event in August 2021.
Doom Eternal is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It is also playable on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game recently got Update 6 which improved the next-gen experience.
