The next digital PlayStation State of Play event will take place this week, offering a new look at Arkane’s Deathloop and updates on other titles.
The event, which airs Thursday, July 8 at 2 p.m. Pacific / 5 p.m. Eastern / 11 p.m. CEST on twitch and YouTube, will feature a nine-minute look at the upcoming game developer by Arkane. In addition, the event will provide new information about indie games and other third-party titles.
In this expansive gameplay sequence, we see Cole using his skills to stealthily sneak across rooftops… or go around with firearms to create a whole lot of chaos. Many options available on Blackreef Island.
In addition to this long look at Bethesda’s violent adventure, we have updates on some exciting indie and third-party titles. The full show clocks in at about 30 minutes.
Keeping expectations in check, it’s also been confirmed that this week’s State of Play will not include an update on the next God of War, Horizon Forbidden West, and the next-generation PlayStation VR. However, it has been suggested that more information about upcoming first-party games could be coming this summer.
This showcase does not contain updates on the next God of War, Horizon Forbidden West or the next generation from PlayStation VR. Stay tuned all summer as we have more updates coming soon.
The main focus of the next State of Play, Deathloop, will be released on PC and PlayStation 5 worldwide on September 14.
DEATHLOOP is a next-gen first person shooter from Arkane Lyon, the award-winning studio behind Dishonored. In DEATHLOOP, two rival assassins are trapped in a mysterious time loop on the island of Blackreef, doomed to repeat the same day forever. As Colt, the only chance to escape is to end the cycle by killing eight key targets before the day starts again. Learn from each cycle – try new paths, collect information and find new weapons and skills. Do whatever it takes to break the circle.
