WARNING: This article contains full spoilers for Black Widow.

Black Widow amplifies the international assassin’s storyline by delving into her backstory. The character’s “family” is introduced, consisting of Red Guardian (David Habour), Melina (Rachel Weisz), and Yelena Bulova (Florence Pugh). After the events of the film come to an end, Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) returns with a new look.

What does the last Black Widow scene mean?

After successfully defeating Dreykov (Ray Winstone) in the floating headquarters of The Red Room, Black Widow freed the other widows from their mind control.

Along with Yelena, Red Guardian and Melina, the widows – and Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko) – have escaped to live a new life of free will.

Black Widow got up to meet General Ross (William Hurt) who came to arrest her for rejecting the Sokovia Accords.

The film then fades to black, showing a “two weeks later” title. The story continues when Natasha Mason (OT Fagbenle) meets her arms dealer.

When Natasha returns to the big screen, she has a new look with shorter blond hair.

This is the style she had in the Captain America: Civil War sequel, Avengers Infinity War.

Mason then presents the hero with a brand new Quinjet. He comments, “See what I can do with a little time and a little money?”

Fans may remember that this jet was used in one of the early scenes in Infinity War.

The scene in question was in Scotland where Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) were attacked by members of Thanos’ (Josh Brolin) army.

They were then rescued by Captain America (Chris Evans), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), and Black Widow.

After making sure Vision and Wanda were safe, they flew to safety on the Quinjet that Black Widow had purchased in the new closing scene of her solo film.

This final scene of Black Widow aims to bridge the gap between Civil War and Infinity War.

Black Widow was rescued by Steve Rogers in the Civil War before fleeing.

This added information explains how the Secret Avengers were so well equipped by the time Infinity War started.

With Black Widow now in the books, the character is really laid to rest.

Natasha was killed in Avengers Endgame while on the planet Vormir.

She sacrificed herself so that Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) would get the Soul Stone and defeat Thanos.

At this time, it has not been confirmed that Black Widow will return to the series in the future.

Black Widow hits theaters today and arrives Friday on Disney Plus with Premier Access.
