Call of Duty Warzone and Cold War update news
More news about the Call of Duty Mid-Season patch will be revealed this week and will be part of an upcoming playlist update.
For Warzone gamers, this means a reshuffle of maps and modes, and maybe a few bug fixes to add to the list.
And also slated for Thursday, July 8, Cold War gamers will learn about the new Season 4 Black Ops: Cold War Zombies map.
This is reportedly launching next week and could be ready to play on July 15th. Before that happens, though, Activision plans to make a series of reveals.
This includes sharing new information about Mauer der Toten, with the Zombies expansion focusing on this month’s midseason refresh.
It’s been months since the last Zombies map was released and it could be one of the last major updates to the popular mode.
More content is planned for the future, and developers Treyarch told fans earlier this year:
“Looking further ahead, development is already underway for more Zombies content for future seasons. In addition to that new content, players can expect new Perks, Wonder Weapons, Support Weapons, limited-time modes and Dark Aether story information along the way.
“We appreciate everyone’s patience as we continue developing our next map, and we hope you enjoy all the other Zombies content to come in the meantime.
“As a reminder, it’s important to remember that an entire season of content doesn’t start and end on day one.
“Seasons deliver content over several weeks, with a mid-season update featuring even more new content.”
This week Treyarch is supposed to announce the final release date for the new Season 4 Zombies map, and fans expect something to arrive next week.
Meanwhile, gamers can expect a number of other tweaks and changes as part of this week’s July 8 update.
Treyarch has confirmed that a new Gunfight Tournament will go live on Thursday with exclusive new in-game rewards.
COD fans can also look forward to the return of the Snipers Only Moshpit and Knife Fight 3v3, while Rush and Capture the Flag are expected to be added later in July.
A post from Treyarch added: “More community favorites continue this week with Face Off 6v6 and 12v12 Moshpit, offering plenty of ways to enjoy the latest season four maps: Collateral, Amsterdam and Hijacked. Rush and Capture the Flag are also coming soon in the mid-July mid-season update, stay tuned!
Stay tuned to Treyarch and Call of Duty social channels this week for new information about “Mauer der Toten”, the next chapter in the Black Ops Cold War Zombies saga.
“The wait is almost over… and the official trailer is just around the corner.
“And finally, everyone will get Double Battle Pass XP in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone this weekend, July 9-12 at 10 a.m. PT. Do not miss it.”
