Now that the shooting is underway John Wick: Chapter 4, Deadline reports that Lance Reddick, who plays Charon, the concierge at the Continental Hotel in New York, has signed on to reprise his role in the upcoming fourth episode of the John Wick franchise after appearing in the previous three films.
“Lance has been part of the franchise since its inception and has played an integral role in shaping the world of John Wick. I couldn’t be happier to be working with him again,” director Chad Stahelski said in a statement.
Reddick will star alongside Keanu Reeves, who reprises his role as the eponymous John Wick, Donnie Yen (ip man) who plays a fellow killer who “shares his same history and many of the same enemies”, Japanese-British pop singer Rina Sawayama as an undisclosed female lead, Ian McShane who returns as Winston, Shamier Anderson (Wynonna Earp), Bill Skarsgard (It Chapter Two), Laurence Fishburne who will reprise his role as The Bowery King, Hiroyuki Sanada who will play a key character known as Watanabe, and Scott Adkins (The Bourne Ultimatum).
While plot details are kept secret, it’s safe to assume that: Chapter 4 will retrieve after the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum with Keanu Reeves’ John Wick seeking revenge on Ian McShane’s Winston for betraying him and going straight to the High Table.
John Wick: Chapter 4 is currently scheduled for release on May 27, 2022.
