Capcom has announced that sales for Resident Evil Village have officially surpassed 4.5 million units worldwide. This includes both digital and physical sales of the game. In addition, three item packs for: Resident Evil Village are on sale now on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. [Thanks, Famitsu!]
In May 2021, Capcom announced that sales for Resident Evil Village had reached 4 million units worldwide. After the first release, Resident Evil Village had shipped about 3 million units. This placed the title somewhere around the same range of shipments as Resident Evil 7 when it was originally released. As it stands, Resident Evil Village has yet to break into the top ten of Capcom’s platinum titles.
In addition, a series of Resident Evil Village DLC is currently available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 users. However, all three DLC parts are paid DLC. This includes a survival pack with ammo, healing items, and lock picks. Other DLC unlocks a unique charm for a specific shotgun and content from the additional in-game store.
The available DLC is as follows:
- In-Game Rewards DLC – ¥500 or $5
- Racoon City Mascot Charm – ¥100 or $1
- Survival Pack – ¥100 or $
Earlier, Capcom announced that it plans to release DLC for Resident Evil Village. However, no further information about more robust or story-focused DLC content has yet been revealed.
Resident Evil Village is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
