Where is Xur and what is he selling?
With plenty of new events kicking off in July, there’s still plenty of reason to track down the Xur location in Destiny 2 today.
The Agent of the Nine can sometimes give an inventory list of vicissitudes, but it’s always worth double-checking just in case.
July 9th is Bungie’s day to bring back the popular merchant, but it will be a while before we know exactly where he is.
Watchmen in North America wait until late in the morning for their chance to track down Xur.
Meanwhile, Guardians in the UK will have the new collection of weapons available by evening.
The first step is to search through Destiny 2’s various locations to find out exactly where Xur is.
Last week, Xur was found in the Tower Hangar behind Dead Orbit, with a mix of items to buy with Legendary Shards.
The location of Destiny 2 Xur from July 9 to July 13 will be revealed at 6pm BST and it won’t be long before Guardians will be on the hunt for the Agent of the Nine.
All items are available until the weekly reset is completed and all rituals are cleared.
For those of you who forgot, Legendary Shards used by Xur items are remnants of powerful items used to upgrade equipment or trade it for other items.
It should also be noted that Xur will drop items that are similar in power level to your character.
And another part of Xur that’s new in the latest version of Destiny 2 is that he’s now dropping Cipher Quests for free.
The Quest will reward you with an exotic number, and last week involved completing 21 Strikes or winning the same number of Crucible or Gambit matches.
Each week, Guardians can acquire one Exotic Engram using Legendary Shards that are decoded as Exotics not already in your collection.
This tops a new list of items to buy, which Xur sold last week: the Huckleberry SMG for 29 Legendary Shards, the Knucklehead Radar for 23 Legendary Shards, the Antaeus Wards Titan Armor for 23 Legendary Shards, and the Chromatic Fire Armor for 23 legendary shards.
Numerous other updates have gone live this week that could overshadow Xur’s return on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
This included the Solstice of Heroes event, a new weapon customization and new Raid options, with Bungie telling fans:
“It’s that special time of year when Guardians travel to European Aerial Zone to earn their Solstice armor and get their shine. You can get the full scoop on our Solstice of Heroes page.
We also had Vault of Glass Master difficulties going live yesterday and a mid-season weapon sandbox shakeup. For full details, check out last week’s TWAB and our patch notes for Update 3.2.1.
“Guards zoom through the European airzone, hunting for chests and upgrading their armor as we speak. That’s not all, the Vault of Glass Master difficulty has also been made available to all players this week.”
