The release date of Genshin Impact 1.7 is reportedly slated to fall around July 16, and this week developers Mihoyo will reveal what they’re up to.

Fans get a closer look at what’s to come, with the Genshin Impact 1.7 update that will be the focus of the next live stream.

This has become a big part of Genshin’s release process and usually contains solid information about the new banners coming to the game.

The interesting thing this time around is that Mihoyo is rumored to skip the 1.7 update and go straight to Genshin 2.0.

Why it’s worth doing this is anyone’s guess, but it will definitely make things more interesting if people tune in today.

Live streams will also end with another round of Genshin Impact redemption codes, with different live streams offering different codes.

There is no guarantee how many free codes will be made available or what they will contain, but chances are there are some free primogems up for grabs.

The good news is that the start time and details on how to watch the upcoming Genshin Impact stream have been confirmed in advance, meaning fans won’t have to wait long to find out.

WHAT IS THE GENSHIN IMPACT 1.7 LIVESTREAM START TIME?

According to developers Mihoyo, today’s Genshin Impact 1.7 livestream will begin on July 9 at 1:00 PM BST.

The Genshin livestream will be held on the Twitch channel first, before being posted to YouTube later.

That means you have to tune into Twitch first to find out the details before it shows up on YouTube.

Mihoyo’s post added: “Dear travelers, the Genshin Impact Preview will premiere on the official Twitch channel on July 9 at 8:00 AM (UTC-4) – https://twitch.tv/genshinimpactofficial.

“The official YouTube channel will release the recording on July 9 at noon (UTC-4) https://youtube.com/c/GenshinImpact.”

As shared above, Mihoyo’s plans for Genshin Impact 2.0 could be revealed today, which would mean technically skipping update 1.7.

While Kazuha became the first character to arrive from Inazuma, they won’t be the last, and many more are planned.

Both Yoimiya and Ayaka appear to be joining him later this month, and the wait may be short.

Ayaka has been leaked as a five-star character who will be a cryo sword user with a lot to offer to each roster.

It is expected to debut shortly after Genshin Impact 1.7 launches, perhaps as early as July 21st.

Meanwhile, new gameplay challenges are coming to Genshin Impact on the same day as the live stream is shown.

Enemies of unknown origin have come ashore in the Golden Apple Archipelago, intending to conquer this sea paradise for themselves.

Use the mechanics and blessings of Momentum Discs to knock the monsters back in one fell swoop.

A message from Mihoyo explains: “New missions have also been added to Marine Hues. Fill them in to receive BEP.

“From the first day of the event, a new challenge is unlocked every day until the seventh day, after which all challenges are unlocked. Seven stages are spread over different locations on the islands.

“During the challenge, travelers can defeat Berserker opponents or destroy Momentum checkers to gain Momentum. Collect Momentum to get Momentum Blessings and improve your characters.

“Momentum will diminish over time, forcing travelers to constantly have to defeat Berserker opponents or destroy Momentum checkers to keep up with the pace.”
