This year marks a major milestone for writer Jeph Loeb and artist Tim Sale as their groundbreaking story Batman: The Long Halloween celebrates its 25th anniversary. Now that Loeb and Sale’s story has already been adapted into a two-part animated film, there’s even more excitement for fans as DC Comics announced the pair will be reuniting for Batman: The Long Halloween Special this fall.
Batman: The Long Halloween follows Batman in his early years protecting Gotham City as he, Jim Gordon and Harvey Dent form an alliance to take down mob boss Carmine Falcone and his crime family. However, a mysterious killer known only as Holiday strikes every month on a holiday, targeting members of the Falcone family. As Batman, Gordon and Dent work to solve Holiday’s identity, the rise of super-villains in Gotham causes more problems as control of the city slowly shifts towards The Joker, Scarecrow and others, while Harvey Dent faces his own change. sees.
