Disney-Pixar is again about the kind of trials and tribulations of growing up that people like Inside out instant classics, but in the case of To blush, the battle becomes very externalized when teenage Mei Lee is transformed into a giant red panda when she feels anxious.
Directed by Domee Shi, who won an Academy Award for her charming Pixar short bao, To blush features the voices of newcomer Rosalie Chiang and Chiang kill eve‘s Sandra Oh, and you can check out the teaser below….
Young actress Rosalie Chiang lends her voice to Mei Lee, a 13-year-old who suddenly “poofs” into a giant red panda when she gets too excited (which practically ALWAYS is). Sandra Oh articulates Mei Lee’s protective, if not slightly overbearing mother, Ming, who is never far from her daughter – an unfortunate reality for the teenager.”
