Following recent rumors of NetherRealm Studios and TT Games Warner Bros. abandoned and on sale, a spokesperson has clarified the situation.
There were rumors that the makers of the Mortal Kombat and LEGO game franchises were up for sale. Some said that Warner Bros. now it was trying to downsize its gaming division and Window Central’s Jez Corden claimed there were documents to back it up. It said both studios were no longer considered “in the scope” of the publisher’s future.
Warner Bros. Representative Remin Sklar spoke to media outlet the gamer to deny these allegations and confirm that both companies will still stick with them. The merger is still in progress, but both studios remain.
“I can confirm that NetherRealm Studios and TT Games will continue to be part of Warner Bros. Games, and that they are all part of the merger with Warner Media Discovery,” explains Sklar. The company also said they have nothing more to add to the alleged documents and how the rumors all started.
