Pogue season is almost upon us as Outer Banks season 2 sets to land like a hurricane on Netflix Friday, July 30. The original series, which takes viewers south to North Carolina where the Royal Merchant’s lost gold is wreaking havoc, was a fan favorite of 2020.
Brimming with action, thrills, and romance, Outer Banks brought something new to the teen drama table for an audience looking for a summer rush in the hot haze of the season.
Now fans are gearing up to be dropped back into John B, Sarah, Kie, Pope, and JJ’s lives as they try to untangle the mess their search for the gold created. They’ll have some company as two fresh faces have been added to the Outer Banks season 2 cast.
Will the two new characters be friends or foes? Here’s what we know!
Outer Banks season 2 cast
Deadline reports Carlacia Grant and Elizabeth Mitchell will be wading into Outer Banks‘ waters for its 10-episode sophomore run as recurring characters.
Grant will play Cleo, a girl from Nassau, Bahamas who’s about to have a couple of Pogues in her backwoods. Likely, Sarah and John B, as the two are on the run. Cleo is described as “confidant and fearless” as well as “a formidable artful dodger.” Perhaps, she’ll have to teach the pair the skill of lying low and staying under the radar.
Mitchell has been cast as Limbrey, a woman whose genteel, courteous ways hides an ugly truth. She’s menacing with a personality that’s nowhere near friendly. Limbrey is noted to be a Charleston native, so we suspect JJ, Pope, and Kie will come across this possible new player in the G game.
