It appears that the price of the controversial yet successful and multi-award winning video game sequel The Last of Us Part 2 has just been reduced.
While this may surprise some gamers as to why TLOU2’s price suddenly jumped from $59.99 to $39.99, there’s actually a reason for this. Sony Interactive Entertainment usually lowers the prices of their popular games after some time has passed. Yes, even if it was really popular when it launched.
Now would be the best time to visit the PlayStation Store now and get the game digitally as it is now permanently $39.99. Just check this link for proof. Even the Digital Deluxe Edition is now cheaper with a price tag of $49.99. Other popular titles, such as Ghost of Tsushima, will receive the same treatment later when the Director’s Cut launches soon.
The Last of Us Part 2 is now available on PlayStation 4 and backwards compatible with the PS5.
