Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, the next first-person cooperative action game from Fatshark (the makers of Vermintide), is the latest game to be delayed beyond its planned Fall 2021 release window. announced that the game is now expected to be available next spring.
Today we made the difficult decision to move the release date of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide to Spring 2022.
We have a responsibility to deliver the best game possible, and quite frankly, we need more time to achieve this goal. It’s no secret that building a game during a pandemic is challenging and we’re not immune to that. We plan to use the extra time to both focus on the quality level at release and invest in more systems to support Darktide in the coming years.
We couldn’t be more excited about Darktide. The hardest part about this decision is actually the fact that we can’t put the game in your hands sooner. But I hope you join us in Hive Tertium early next year! Out of all 150+ “sharks” here in Stockholm, thank you for your amazing support.
