Game company Ubisoft has announced that upcoming video game Rainbow Six Extraction has been postponed.
The new R6 Extraction release window is now January 2022. According to the development team, they want to take extra time to bring the vision of delivering a full-fledged AAA experience to their fans. This game has unique features like Missing in Action and The Sprawl and they want every mission to be an exciting and challenging experience. Taking more time would mean adding more content.
No specific reason was given as to why the development team had to further delay the release, but to speculate, it had to be due to the global pandemic. Being in the game studio would have made all the difference in increasing the speed of development, but with COVID-19 still around, completing tasks would have been limited.
It would be better to launch a complete game rather than an incomplete game with major updates released week after week to fix issues.
Rainbow Six Extraction will launch in January 2022 on PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
