On July 12, 2021, Square Enix announced that the PlayStation 4 and PC versions of Final Fantasy XIV Full Edition were sold out. More recently, producer Naoki Yoshida released a statement about an increase in player traffic and how the team would work to get around server issues. Yoshida mentioned the return of the auto-logout feature introduced in Final Fantasy: Stormblood and then deleted some time later. The team hopes this will reduce future server traffic.
Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC.
