A new Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut trailer was shared online today, showcasing the beautiful Iki Island.
The new trailer gives a quick overview of the new island featured in the extended release of the open-world game developed by Sucker Punch. The Official PlayStation Blog also gave initial details about the new story and location, both of which will be significantly different from those in the main campaign.
Jin’s journey begins when he discovers that a mysterious Mongol tribe has gained a foothold on Iki. They are led by a respected shaman named Ankhsar Khatun, known to her followers as ‘the Eagle’. As both a khatun and a shaman, she is not only a conqueror of nations, but also a shepherd of souls. And the danger she poses to Jin and his people is unlike anything they’ve ever experienced.
The only way to face this threat is if Jin returns to Iki Island. He’s been there before. And when confronting a new and dangerous foe, he will be forced to face old fears and unearth deeply buried traumas. As you explore a new island and fight new threats, you also delve into the dark past of clan Sakai…
Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut launches worldwide on August 20 for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
