PS5 UK Stock Update: GAME, Very And Currys Next After Argos Restock

After Argos launched thousands of consoles today, GAME will be the next major UK retailer to complement the PS5.

The latest reports suggest that the next drop in PS5 shares in the UK will take place on Thursday, July 22.

And unless there are last minute delays, everything should go online between 8am and 1pm BST.

GAME has been linked to several stock drops this month, but the July 22 plans could be July’s biggest.

Thousands of consoles will reportedly drop tomorrow as part of the next PlayStation 5 shipment, with leading tracker accounts claiming around 10,000 will be available to buy.

Based on past stock drops, these are expected to be part of bundles, including games, additional controllers, and merchandise.

This will drive up the price of the original console and mean gamers may have to spend more.

Here’s the latest from PS5 Stock UK on Twitter, with the account confirmed today:

“GAME goes live with 8-10K PlayStation 5s on: Thursday, July 22 (9-11am).

“If you select Priority delivery method, your order will ship before July 27, all other delivery method orders will ship before August 2.”

This is the next big opportunity for gamers to buy a PS5 console in the UK this week, but there could be more.

Currys reportedly received more inventory this week, but it looks like it will be used to fulfill existing pre-orders.

The good news is that these will be used for those who have been successful using the VIP in-store system, meaning your order can be completed very soon.

So what other deals are coming to the UK in July? Other UK retailers to be linked to stock drops later this month include the following:

ASDA – Possible PS5 restocking between July 21 and July 29 (8-11am)

John Lewis – Possible PS5 restocking between July 21 and July 29 (7-9am)

whole – Possible PS5 restocking between July 22 and July 29 (9-11am)

Knowing when a PS5 replenishment is due can be vital, but it’s also worth knowing how each retailer handles their shipments.

And here are a few examples of how best to try and buy a PlayStation 5 console from leading UK retailers:

AMAZON UNITED KINGDOM: Amazon UK works better under tension, but still has a few kinks worth noting. Creating an account with your card details is a good start, and gamers should also try adding a console to their wish list before checking out. No more stock is expected in July 2021.

ARGOS: The Argos website is notorious for crashing and not being able to complete purchases when there is a lot of site traffic. Inventory trackers recommend using the Argos mobile app and keeping an eye on local store listings. The last Argos restock event took place on July 21.

GAME: GAME is a UK retailer offering the most regular stock updates for PS5 consoles. However, console hunters have been warned to use Guest Checkout as this option is less likely to crash when completing a purchase. The next drop in PS5 stock will reportedly take place on July 22.
