Many fans have wondered what Battlefield Portal has to offer and some even fear that it could get out of hand due to the many components it offers to the players. Ripple Effect Studios Senior Design Director Justin Wiebe sees it differently, though.
Wiebe discussed some details about the new feature Ripple Effect Studios recently unveiled during an interview with media outlet VG247. He also assured everyone that this particular Builder will not affect the original gameplay at all. In fact, it’s built to let players take a break from getting stressed out in high stakes gameplay.
Not all players are the same and they will always have different tastes. “If they are more interested in high stakes gameplay, maybe some players will move to Hazard Zone,” Wiebe revealed. Players will be competitive there, but sometimes all that stress is ramped up to record highs and that wouldn’t be healthy. It would be wise to try a less stressful mode.
This is where Battlefield Portal comes in.
“We are emotional beings, sometimes people just want to take a break from the high stress, high tension experiences,” Wiebe continued. “And that’s where Portal can kind of pick them up and come in and say, ‘Well, we don’t take ourselves too seriously, this is the place you can go to have a little more fun, to have something more not expecting .'”
Battlefield Portal offers a less stressful gameplay that gives players some options that can change the rules a bit. It will be enough to make it more pleasant for them.
Battlefield 2042 will have Portal after launch. The game will be released on October 22, 2021 on PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
