Game company CAPCOM recently announced that the popular game Monster Hunter Rise is getting a collaboration event with Okami.
An Okami event will take place at the end of this month, July 30. This is the latest cross-CAPCOM collaboration event for this game. It’s part of the game company’s planned series of downloadable additions to the game.
The collaboration event was confirmed in a after by the franchise’s official Twitter account with a short trailer included. It shows what content the collaboration event will offer later this month.
The event has a special quest that will reward players with the Ammy costume after they complete it. It is a layered armor for the player’s Palamute, which turns it into Amaterasu, the lupine sun god who shines in Okami. It also has a special effect where the Palamute would leave a trail of blooming green in its path when it sprints.
Aside from the costume, gameplay was shown with the Palamute layered armor. It also shows that the Palamute uses weapons similar to Amaterasu’s Glaive and Reflector gear. The players also have insect goggles that look like a large ink brush.
Monster Hunter Rise kicks off its Okami collaboration event on July 30, 2021. The game is already available on Nintendo Switch with plans for PC later.
