Sega shared two Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown surveys asking for feedback from people. Each targets a different group of people. One survey is for people who own and may have played the game. That could be a big group, given that it launched as a free PlayStation Plus title and will stay that way until August 2, 2021. The other one is for people who don’t own the fighter and haven’t played it. The Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown netcode is the subject of quite a few questions rolled into one.
The first Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown survey starts with questions about demographics, platform ownership, and your general likes and dislikes when it comes to genres. You’ll be asked about fighting game series you know and if you’ve played any entries in them. Then it asks about your familiarity with the past Virtua Fighter games. From there it starts talking about this particular game. You’ll be asked how you heard about it, if you paid for it or got it with PlayStation Plus, and if you got the DLC. You were also asked why you decided to buy the game. Then you will be asked how long you have been playing, if you will play more and which character you have used the most.
More importantly, the survey for people who own and play it talked about Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown network code. In its final questions, it asks if you know what kind it uses. Then ask if you prefer delay-based or reverted net code. It also asked if people experienced lag while playing the game.
Concerning the Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown survey for people who didn’t get the game are very similar. Unless you explain your familiarity with the series, it starts to ask why you weren’t interested in the game and didn’t get it. It also asked people to choose which character they think they would like best if they played. It also closes things off by asking the same kinds of questions about: Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown netcode and how important rollback and delay based netcode is to the person.
Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown is available for the PlayStation 4. It is free for PlayStation Plus members until August 2, 2021.
