The makers of PS5 exclusive Abandoned could be teasing a new Metal Gear Solid game
Abandoned is a mysterious PS5 horror that will launch exclusively on Sony’s latest console in the fourth quarter of 2021. Since Abandoned was first unveiled, rumors have been circulating around the title Blue Box Game Studios, with fans long speculating that Abandoned is actually a Hideo Kojima Silent Hill game is in disguise. And soon the many questions PS5 gamers have about Abandoned will be answered.
This week, PS5 gamers can download the Abandoned Realtime Experience trailers app.
This is a first of its kind app that allows PS5 gamers to see what Abandoned looks like when directly on hardware.
So when you watch a gameplay footage trailer in Abandoned app, you don’t have to worry about video compression.
What you see in the Abandoned app is what the game will look like on the PS5.
The Abandoned PS5 Trailers app will be available for preload on the PlayStation Store starting Thursday, July 29.
This anticipates an introductory teaser that will be available on August 10 and the full first trailer coming out later that month.

If you’re wondering when the Abandoned PS5 trailers app will be available for download, Blue Box Game Studios founder Hasan Kahraman has provided an update.
Hasan was asked on Twitter when the Abandoned PS5 app will be available for download.
He replied, “I’m not sure, it varies between time zones. But I’m guessing at 00:00 or 01:00?”
Leading up to the Abandoned PS5 trailers, app launch makers Blue Box Game Studios dropped a teaser on Twitter that got a lot of people talking.
The tweet showcased new artwork for the Abandoned app and said, “Are you ready? We are!”
But what’s interesting about this tweet is the artwork posted next to the tweet.
In particular, it showed the Abandoned logo atop a blurred image of a character wearing an eye patch.
Latest app teaser image of Abandoned PS5 trailers has sparked Metal Gear Solid rumors
The reason this has gotten people talking is because the character is reminiscent of Big Boss and Solid Snake from the Metal Gear Solid series.
The MGS franchise is the most famous work of Hideo Kojima, who also created the terrifying PT demo and was scheduled to work on the Silent Hills reboot before it was scrapped.
It has long been speculated that Abandoned is actually a Silent Hill project in disguise.
And while Blue Box Game Studios has repeatedly denied any links to Kojima, Konami, and Silent Hill, this latest tweet does nothing to quell these rumors.
I’m not sure, it varies between time zones. But I immediately think at 00:00 or 01:00?

In June, Blue Box posted a statement distancing itself from Silent Hill after a tweet from the developer appeared to indicate that Abandoned was actually a Silent Hill game.
The tweet in question said: “Guess the name: Abandoned = (First letter S, Last letter L). Reveal closing… #PS5 #Exclusive”.
After this tweet excited Silent Hill fans, Blue Box took to Twitter to say, “We wanted to make things right. We have no relationship with Konami. Silent Hill is owned by Konami. We have no relationship with Hideo Kojima. It was never intended to tease the name as Silent Hill, we sincerely apologize for this.”
It has long been rumored that Silent Hill and the Metal Gear Solid franchises will be making a comeback to the PS5 as exclusive games.
Whether that will ultimately be the case remains to be seen, but the latest developments at Blue Box mean these rumors aren’t going away anytime soon.
