Animal Crossing New Horizons update 1.11 coming soon. The release of the upcoming Animal Crossing patch was announced by Nintendo social accounts on Tuesday, with the 1.11 download set to release to gamers in the UK and Europe on Thursday, July 29. The new Animal Crossing update adds weekly fireworks displays and new seasonal items.

Announcing the update 1.11 patch, @NintendoEurope posted on Twitter: “A free update for #AnimalCrossingNewHorizons is coming on 07/29. Make sure you’ve updated to the latest version to enjoy the upcoming weekly fireworks shows and new seasonal items.”

The account added, “In addition to these updates, more free content for #AnimalCrossingNewHorizons is currently in development for later this year. More information will be shared in the future, so stay tuned. Thanks for your support and patience.”

A launch time for the Animal Crossing New Horizons patch has not yet been confirmed.

However, judging by previous releases, Animal Crossing New Horizons update 1.11 could be coming at the following times…

• Animal Crossing New Horizons update 1.11 UK release – Thursday 29th July at 2am BST

• Animal Crossing New Horizons Update 1.11 Europe Release – Thursday, July 29 at 3pm CEST

• Animal Crossing New Horizons Update 1.11 US Release – Wednesday, July 28 at 6:00 PM Pacific and 9:00 PM Eastern Time

In terms of what else the update will bring, in a message online Nintendo Wire reported on some incoming new items.

These upcoming Animal Crossing New Horizons items were revealed in an official Japanese news release for the update.

Update 1.11 adds three new items to Redd’s lottery – these items are cotton candy, tapioca potions, and a popsicle.

Other seasonal items that are also added include dango, the cucumber horse, and the eggplant cow.

Dango is a Japanese dumpling made from rice flour that comes in spherical shape and placed on a wooden stick.

While the cucumber horse and eggplant cow are part of the Japanese Obon festival. This is a Buddhist festival that honors the spirits of ancestors.

Both the cucumber horse and the aubergine cow see wooden sticks inserted into the vegetables, making them look a bit like these animals.

These items are available at Nook Shopping on different days.

The Animal Crossing Japan news release added that the fireworks show – which will be added with version 1.1 – will take place every Sunday in August.
