With time running out to complete the Season 4 Battle Pass, Activision is launching a new Call of Duty update in Cold War and Warzone to lend gamers a helping hand.

From Friday, July 30 to August 2, COD fans on both platforms will be able to earn Double Weapon XP and discounted Battle Pass tiers.

The event kicks off on Friday at 6pm BST and continues through the same period on August 2 in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone.

This gives players the chance to unlock cheaper Battle Pass tiers if they’ve nearly completed what they need, but aren’t sure if they’ll achieve it by grinding over the next two weeks.

Meanwhile, it also gives COD fans the chance to unlock and upgrade new weapons so they can build their perfect gear.

But before this goes live, both Call of Duty games will be updated with refreshed playlists and content.

Cold War seems to be getting the most new stuff, with a new Gunfight Tournament and Collateral Combined Arms 24/7, 3v3 Gunfight Snipers Only playlist going live.

The new patch is expected to go live on Thursday, July 29, with Activision telling COD fans this week:

“Treyarch’s latest Gunfight Tournament kicks off on July 29 with new and exclusive in-game rewards that can be won by completing all four rounds of competition.

Then the season four, fan-favorite Collateral Combined Arms 24/7 returns this week, featuring Black Ops Cold War’s largest 12v12 arena packed with Dirt Bikes, FAVs and a fully loaded Hind Helicopter to take on a mix of intense Combined Arms to rule modes.

“If you want to master those Dark Ops challenges, this is the mode for you.

Also, this week, 3v3 Gunfight Snipers Only replaces Gunfight Blueprints for Sniper Trios taking on Randomized Sniper Loadouts.

“And from July 30 to August 2, get Double Weapon XP and get a discount on Battle Pass Tiers in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone all weekend.”

The changes being made to Warzone are expected to be quite light, and Payload is expected to be replaced with a refreshed list of modes.

And Activision also confirmed that on the same day the new Call of Duty patch goes live, they will be hosting the final stages of the Community Warzone Invitational.

The four-event series features up-and-coming Warzone talent, with each event having a $10,000 prize and can be viewed on the eFuse Twitch channel.
