Find out what Deathloop developers revealed on Discord AMA

The developers of Deathloop recently held an AMA Discord in which they answered questions about the game from fans. One of the gameplay features that they revealed to their fans was that the next game will not have a number of difficulty options. Instead, the game will be modeled on the player’s abilities, harder or easier depending on the quality of the player.

They said, in response to the difficulty, “There is no difficulty option, but we have a system of adaptive problems. Since you can play the same cards multiple times at different times in your game, we had to go through a system that can make the game difficult, multiple games. If the accuracy of PNGs is assigned at first, they will be more accurate, aggressive, and responsive.

They added, referring to players joining forces in multiplayer mode: “The PvP system connects players with similar abilities and seeks to maintain a fair and balanced win-to-loss ratio. It’s an organic way to choose the most accurate player based on their performance and gameplay.” So I hope a player doesn’t dominate the field like Colt or Julianna.

This might not seem typical for most shooters, but it’s more logical if you’re looking at deathloop, a roguelike more than a first-person shooter. In many of the ones I’ve played, loops become harder, the more competent the player becomes. It would also be announced very well in detail in the AMA itself that the player would only save one file and could not save on a mission. It is logical: if she found the game unchangeably difficult, the game would assume that you are extremely good to her since the only thing I “know” would be that you achieve all the goals.
