PS5 Stock drops coming from Very.co.uk and Argos
A smaller PS5 stock is reportedly being launched this week by UK retailers Argos and Very.
According to the latest news on the subject, Very plans to release a small wave of PlayStation 5 consoles on its digital platform on Wednesday, August 4.
But as mentioned above, this won’t be the same size as previous shipments, meaning it could be even harder to find one.
The latest predictions come from stock tracker accounts, meaning they could turn out to be incorrect or include release date delays.
This has happened a lot in the past, but most accounts remain very reliable when scheduling a shipment.
And without official news being shared by the retailers themselves, they may prove to be the only source of information on the subject.
According to Twitter’s PS5 Stock UK account, Very will be releasing new PS5 consoles for purchase around 9am BST.
However, it may take a few hours for the restock to go live on the Very website, meaning some gamers may have to wait until 12 noon to have a chance to buy one.
Meanwhile, Argos is another retailer that has been linked to a significant drop in PlayStation 5 inventory this week.
According to the same source, Argos will drop its new shipment this week, with dates between now and August 6.
For Argos, gamers have to be ready earlier in the day for a chance to buy a console, with the retailer usually dropping their stock between 4 a.m. and 8 a.m.
It should also be noted that this can happen by region, meaning some digital retail locations may lag behind others.
Sony recently confirmed a huge sales target for this year, even as console hunters continue to struggle to find stock.
With Sony confirming that a huge sales target will be hit this month, console hunters are still struggling to find stock in 2021.
Sony has sold many next-gen consoles in 2021, but has not been able to keep up with demand.
The company has managed to sell 10 million units worldwide, reaching the milestone on July 18.
Knowing when a PS5 replenishment is due can be vital, but it’s also worth knowing how each retailer handles their shipments.
And here are a few examples of how best to try and buy a PlayStation 5 console from leading UK retailers:
AMAZON UNITED KINGDOM: Amazon UK works better under tension, but still has a few kinks worth noting. Creating an account with your card details is a good start, and gamers should also try adding a console to their wish list before checking out. More stock is expected in early August.
ARGOS: The Argos website is notorious for crashing and not being able to complete purchases when there is a lot of site traffic. Inventory trackers recommend using the Argos mobile app and keeping an eye on local store listings.
GAME: GAME is a UK retailer offering the most regular stock updates for PS5 consoles. However, console hunters have been warned to use Guest Checkout as this option is less likely to crash when completing a purchase. The next PS5 stock is expected around August 11.
