An accomplished voice actor and established singer and songwriter, Nana Mizuki has starred in several high-profile anime over the years, starting with Shaman King in 2001. Later she spoke in Hinata Naruto, as well as other characters in the Fullmetal Alchemist series. She also appears in Netflix’s The Dogma of the Dragons animation. The actress has extensive experience voicing characters in video games, most recently with Ann Takamaki in Persona 5 Royal and Nagao Kagetora in Fate/Great Order.
Previously, co-voice actress and singer Megumi Hayashibara, who had sung the first opening theme “Soul Salvation” of the rebooted anime series, performed all Shaman King‘s opening themes. Netflix also featured the opening theme in the recent English trailer, as well as the uncredited opening and endings uploaded by King Amusement Creative.
In a separate announcement, Mizuki expressed his excitement when she was able to create a song for a series she’s been a part of for over two decades. While the song itself has not been revealed, she is urging fans to “look forward to its official release” later in the year.
The new second Shaman King opening theme “Get up! Call!” will be released on October 27, 2021.
