Xenoblade Chronicles 3 may be in the works right now, according to what was recently revealed by one of the game’s original voice actresses.

As reported by VGC, Jenna Coleman, who voiced Melia in the original Xenoblade Chronicles, suggested there’s another entry in the series coming in the future in a fan video call in June.

It was through my voiceover and I did it… god, when was the first game? Ten years ago? It was long ago. I did it pre-Doctor Who days and when they did the second they asked me to come back.

“And I think they’re going to do another one,” she added, before pausing, “Publicly known? I don’t know… Yeah, I think they’re going to do another… I’m not sure I’m allowed to say that.”

Given the popularity of the series, it’s not surprising that Xenoblade Chronicles 3 may already be in the works, given that it’s been some time since the release of the second installment in the series. However, since Monolith Software has yet to confirm the game, we have to take this with a grain of salt.

The latest entry in the series is Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition, released last year on Nintendo Switch. This edition of the game really is the best way to experience it, as Dave emphasizes in his review.

While Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition doesn’t quite look like a new game, with the remnants of the Wii design clearly showing, everything else about it stands shoulder to shoulder with modern JRPGs. Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition has an explosive story, enchanting worlds, dramatic cutscenes and lots of heart. If you’re a JRPG fan and haven’t played Xenoblade Chronicles yet, you owe it to yourself to give this game a try.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has not yet been announced. We’ll keep you posted as more comes in, so stay tuned for the latest.
