In the early 1990s, Macaulay Culkin starred in the beloved Christmas capers Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. Since then, there have been three spin-offs without the star, the last being two forgettable TV movies in Home Alone 4: Taking Back the House and Home Alone: The Holiday Heist. But now that Disney has bought Fox, the sixth film acts as a reboot of sorts for the franchise and one with some familiar faces.
Home Alone 6 was announced today as Home Sweet Home Alone and will be released on Disney+ on November 12, 2021 as an original movie on the streaming service.
The film stars British 12-year-old Archie Yates, best known for playing Yorki in Jojo Rabbit, as Max.
Home Sweet Home Alone stars Ellie Kemper, Rob Delaney, Aisling Bea, Kenan Thompson, Tim Simons, Pete Holmes, Devin Ratray, Ally Maki and Chris Parnell.
Fans of the original two Home Alone movies will remember that Devin played Buzz as a child actor.

According to The sun, the 40-year-old will be paid £2.5 million for the short appearance in the Disney+ film.
A source said: “No home alone is complete without the star of the show, Macaulay.”

The insider added: “Disney bosses were desperate to get him on board and they opened their wallets in a big way to do this.
“His cameo is being planned and they are working out the details, but it will cost them almost £2.5 million for the privilege.”
Culkin previously reprized Kevin for a 2018 ad called Home Alone Again featuring the Google Assistant.
