Before Fortnite fever took over the world, game fans got their Battle Royale solution with PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, better known as PUBG, is currently available as a free download.

However, if you want to play the game for free, you’d better act fast as the Steam Free Play Weekend is coming to an end.

The free trial of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will run until the end of the game on August 16.

This means fans will have plenty of time to download and play the game, with a more realistic take on the battle royale formula.

Land, loot and outsmart your opponents to become the last player standing in a thrilling gaming experience full of unexpected, adrenaline-pumping moments.”

As the description states, PUBG drops 100 players on a map, where the last person standing wins everything.

Unlike Fortnite, PUBG has multiple maps to explore, including the jungle-themed Sanhok map and the snowy Vikendi map.

Fortnite, on the other hand, has one main battle royale map, although it is constantly evolving.

Speaking of Fortnite, the game has been booming lately, partnering with numerous franchises for some cross-promotional activities.

This includes a brand new collaboration with the latest Ryan Reynolds movie Free Guy.

In addition to the new Free Guy Fortnite skin, fans can unlock an exclusive Free Guy emote for free.

To unlock the Free Guy emote, Battle Royale players must complete five different challenges.

“Meet Guy. He’s just your regular, everyday…never mind. Guy just learned that his life as a bank teller isn’t exactly what he thought. He’s basically a background player in an open world game. So now he comes on in Fortnite?” reads the official description.

Search for ATMs and follow Guy’s instructions to complete the newly released Free Guy Quests.

“Your reward? A chance to show your good…no…great side with the Good Guy Emote.”

Challenges players to get hit by a moving vehicle, reboot teammates, take melee damage, and talk to an NPC.
