The final version of the GTA San Andreas AI Remaster mod has been released and is now available for PC players.

Modder ‘Flyaway888’ has released the latest and latest version of its AI-upscaled texture pack for the PC version of San Andreas. As you might have guessed, the mod scales up the game’s original textures using AI technology.

“Some of the original textures are very low quality, so I couldn’t do much for that,” writes the modder. “95% match the original texture files, actually they look like this [they] were done in a higher resolution in the first place.”

The latest version of this impressive mod offers more detailed and more illuminated textures for better definition. In addition, this pack fixes most of the game’s visual glitches and increases the digital vibrancy of all textures. Below is a new video of the modder, comparing San Andreas’ original textures to the AI-scaled ones. Check out the comparison and judge for yourself.

The final version of the GTA San Andreas AI Remaster mod may be downloaded from moddb. If you want to try this one, we recommend that you download it as soon as possible because publisher Take-Two has removed a lot of mods for classic GTA episodes. With Take-Two and Rockstar rumored to be releasing remasters of GTA III, GTA Vice City, and San Andreas later this year, this AI ‘remaster’ mod could very well be an ideal candidate for another takedown.

GTA Andreas was released for PlayStation 2 in 2004. In the early 1990s, players take on the role of Carl Johnson, aka CJ.

Five years ago, Carl Johnson escaped the pressures of life in Los Santos, San Andreas… a city torn apart by gang problems, drugs and corruption. Where movie stars and millionaires do their best to avoid the dealers and gangbangers.

Now it’s the early 90s. Carl has to go home. His mother has been murdered, his family has fallen apart and his childhood friends are headed for disaster.

When he returns to the neighborhood, he is accused of murder by some dirty cops. CJ is forced on a journey that takes him across the state of San Andreas to save his family and take control of the streets.

“Over the years, we’ve put a lot of pressure on ourselves to make sure we’re doing everything we can to exceed people’s expectations with Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas,” said Sam Houser, President of Rockstar Games in 2004. Even though we still have eight months to go, we are starting to feel very proud of what we have achieved and we can’t wait to get the game in the hands of the players.”
