Apple’s latest products, including the iPhone 13 and Apple Watch 7, are expected to arrive in a few weeks. And as the date gets closer, we’re hearing more and more leaks and rumors about features and specs.
Now, Mark Gurman, a senior Bloomberg journalist with an almost infallible track record when it comes to emerging Apple gadgets, has revealed several new details about the emerging gadgets, including two brand new default apps.
Both apps focus on health and wellness, in a sign that Apple is boosting its fitness capabilities beyond its Fitness+ subscription. The first is called Time to Run. The name is very similar to the existing Time to Walk, an Apple Watch app that aims to encourage users to walk more, suggesting it could share some features.
Time to Walk currently features an “inspirational audio walking experience” featuring voiceovers from celebrity guests speaking on thought-provoking topics, as well as a selection of songs and stories to accompany you on a walk. We can easily imagine something more cheerful that would work well for a running app, similar to the NHS’s Couch to 5K app.
Gurman also leaked details of an Audio Meditations app. This could complement Apple’s existing Mindfulness app that promotes meditation to help users sleep better and reduce anxiety.

Audio meditations can ultimately be similar to Headspace. The popular app gives users access to numerous guided sound meditation sessions via a monthly subscription that costs between £4.17 and £9.99 per month. If Apple bundles a similar product for free with iPhone and Apple Watch, it could be a serious rival.
Previous leaks revealed hardware specifications for both devices.
The iPhone 13 will not get a bigger screen than the iPhone 12, but it will reduce the notch for the selfie camera on the front. The camera gets a new Cinematic Video setting, high-quality recording and more AI capabilities. Meanwhile, the phone could get more powerful with a new A15 chipset and 120Hz refresh rate.
The Apple Watch 7 is rumored to be getting a completely new design for both the graphics and the watch itself, which hasn’t changed in a number of years. Gurman expects brighter color options, a flatter display and a thinner screen bezel.
Other Apple products that could launch this fall include the iPad Mini 6, a new cheaper iPad model, and M1X MacBook Pros.
