Bungie is bringing back Destiny’s Trials of Osiris, but some big changes will be made.

Destiny 2 gamers will have access to Xur and his new loot pile, but will not be able to access the Trials today.

That’s because Bungie has decided to delay the launch of Season 15 in Trials of Osiris on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms.

The development team has given several reasons for the setback, including the need to make Season 15 content a little more special.

They hope that dropping Trials of Osiris will make it a weekly event; they can keep the population higher, Guardians tell this week:

“First of all, Trials will be taking a short break at the beginning of Season 15. In our goals to maintain a healthy population, we want to remove issues where players are torn between multiple PvP or endgame goals for a given weekend.

“So we’re making the following changes for all of our future seasons starting in Season 15: No Trials in Week 1, or before Raid World First.

“Week 1 should be about exploring new content, features and attunements, as well as finding and using the new weapons and exotics, mo Trials during Iron Banner and overlapping limited-time PvP events are not good for the health of either game. mode.”

WHEN WILL TRIALS OF OSIRIS RETURN TO DESTINY 2?

Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris is not available to play this week, and no event is scheduled for August 27.

Bungie has confirmed that the Trials of Osiris will be back on September 10 and will feature some big changes.

The Trials are expected to go live at 6pm BST as usual, but the rewards will be different for those who want to earn them.

Bungie plans to dump tokens and change the way rewards are earned across all platforms.

A message from the Destiny team explains: “We want to give players more reason to play more than three wins. That’s why we’re opening up rewards to more players more often.

“Saint-14 will receive a full reputation overhaul and will have the ability to focus Trials engrams on specific rewards. Adept weapons will continue to require a full Flawless pass to be earned.”

The list of new reward changes proposed by Bungie includes the following:

  • Saint-14 gains new Trials ranks, reputation, and a reward track.
  • Trials tokens have been revoked.
  • Reputation is gained when the match is completed, based on the number of rounds won on your Ticket.
  • Tickets now follow up to 20 round wins.
  • By focusing on winning individual rounds for the core rewards, each player gains more achievable goals across all skill levels.
  • Since you don’t have to win full matches to get rewards, you always have a reason to keep trying, even if you’re behind.
  • A higher rank will give you a Trials engram (more on that later).
  • Powerful Trials engrams appear every three rank-ups before your first reset of the season
  • Like the other Ritual Reputations, there are different rewards to be earned every three ranks – and Trials ranks has one of the unique Trials weapons at Rank 10 and Rank 16 for each of the first three resets of Season 15.

PASSAGES

One of the most limiting things about the earlier Trials system was the emphasis on winning, and winning often, to get rewards. While winning matches will still pave the way to the Lighthouse, we’re making some changes to allow players to access the activity and earn rewards without having to reset their Passages often.

Passages no longer follow losses – a Passage is faultless or not. This allows you to keep playing and earn match and round winnings for rewards.
