Fortnite season 7 is just a few weeks away from the end. According to the current Battle Pass, Fortnite season will run from September 7 to September 12, which is a Sunday. And Epic Games could have some big plans in store that weekend.

It has been rumored for some time that the final phase of Fortnite Season 7 will feature another live event.

According to the rumor mill, Kevin the Cube will return as part of the event and will be controlled by a character who plays a part in the Fortnite Chapter 3 storyline.

This claim was part of a wider series of rumors highlighted by notable leaker ShiinaBR in July.

And this leak, which was originally posted on Reddit, already gets one thing right: revealing the Ariana Grande event well before it was announced. That could lend credence to all of the leaker’s other claims.

It was also claimed – among other things – that Fortnite Chapter 3 will see a brand new map launched, while Fortnite Season 8 could have a Naruto skin.

As always with rumors, it’s best to take it with a grain of salt until official confirmation.

But today, more evidence has emerged that supports either of these claims.

This morning, Epic Games took the Fortnite servers offline for the release of Update 17.50.

During downtime, data miners rummaged through the patch’s files to find details about leaked cosmetics and more.

And one of these leakers – @FNLeaksAndInfo – revealed more about the upcoming Fortnite event.

There are some potential spoilers to follow, so read no further if you want to experience the next Fortnite event all fresh.

Fortnite Season 7 Event Date

**WARNING – POSSIBLE EVENT SPOILERS TO FOLLOW**

The Fortnite leaker said the next Fortnite live event will end Fortnite Season 7.

Which means the final of the Fortnite season 7 live event could take place on Sunday, September 12.

Not only that, but the leaker said the event could end with a pending loading screen similar to the one after the Season 10 event.

Which means players may face a long period of downtime after the Fortnite season 7 live event.

On Twitter, @FNLeaksAndInfo posted: “Another event is coming to end this season and will likely feature a different wait/load screen similar to Season X and Season 4 end!”

When Epic Games followed this format before the downtime after an event led to the launch of a new Battle Pass.

So the downtime that occurs after the Fortnite Season 7 live event can be used to lay the groundwork for the Fortnite Season 8 launch that will follow.

This, of course, remains to be seen, but we only have a few weeks left of Fortnite Season 7, so official confirmation should come soon anyway.
