The next PlayStation Now games will be revealed by Sony, but it seems unlikely that they will happen in August.

Instead, gamers are waiting a little longer than usual to find out what’s being added to the PS Now library.

Typically, subscribers only have to wait a month to find out what new PS4 titles are coming to PS Now.

However, due to PlayStation Network’s refresh cycle, gamers will have to wait an extra week before playing September’s new games.

This is based on the fact that The Witcher 3 will be removed on September 6, when the next PS Now games are expected to be revealed.

There is a chance that Sony would reveal its plans on several earlier dates, which would break the usual pattern.

Gamers are therefore advised to keep an eye on the news on one of the following days: August 31, September 3 and September 6.

As mentioned above, the most likely date for PS Now game news to be shared is next Monday, but there’s always a chance Sony could be in for a surprise before then.

The biggest thing we know is that Sony is dropping the Witcher 3 on September 6 and will be replacing it with a number of other titles.

Then follows the departure of Borderlands 3, which will leave the PS Now streaming service before early October.

The same rules for renewing PlayStation Network also affect the release of free PS Plus games.

The announcement of the free PlayStation Plus games is a highlight of the month for subscribers.

Unfortunately, however, fans will have to wait a little longer for the next batch of free PS5 and PS4 games to be announced.

New PS Plus games launch on the first Tuesday of any given month. The matches will be announced the Wednesday before.

Due to the way the dates are falling, the September 2021 free PS Plus games won’t be revealed until September 1.

The next batch of free PS5 and PS4 games will be available for download less than a week later on September 7.
