Warhammer 40,000: Darktide pushed back

fat shark, the Swedish studio behind the games Warhammer Vermintide 1 and 2, War of the Roses and War of the Vikings, announced in a statement on Twitter that their next co-op shooter, Warhammer 40,000 Darktide, has been delayed until spring 2022.

Today, we’re making a tough decision to postpone our Spring 2022 release date for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide.

We have a responsibility to make it the best we can and frankly we need more time to achieve this goal. It’s no secret that making a game during the pandemic is challenging and we are not immune to that. We plan to use this extra time to focus on the quality level of the release and to invest in more systems to support Darktide in the coming years.

We couldn’t be more excited about Darktide. The hardest thing about this decision is actually the fact that we can’t get the game into your hands sooner. But I hope you join us in Tertium Hive next year!

On behalf of all 150+ “Sharks” here in Stockholm, thank you for your incredible support.

The way to the exit is still very long

We wish them the best and we can’t wait for the game to come out, and it will be a real pleasure to take out the chaos!
Clean your weapons and your swords, we’ll see you soon in the beehive city!
