A major Call of Duty playlist patch has been launched today that takes away the dominance of the Buy-Back mode and makes it possible to play a normal match in Verdansk. For those who don’t know, Buy Back allows you to fall back into a game as long as you have $4500 to spend.

This option is only disabled during the final stages and allows teammates to use Buy Stations. The new playlist update for Warzone brings back several normal modes today, including the following:

Added on September 3rd

  • Verdansk – BR – All Selections
  • Verdansk – Blood Money – Trios
  • Verdansk – Armored Royale

Sept 3 deleted

  • Verdansk – Buy Backs – Everything
  • Verdansk – Looting – Quads
  • Verdansk – Payload

Armored Royale returns today, but some gamers are wondering how long it might last.

Several times in the past, Activision has relaunched Armored Royale only to have to remove it again due to abuse issues.

Here is the current description of the rules for playing Armored Royale: “Just like a standard Battle Royale Quads, squads of up to four players will infiltrate Verdansk with only a gun to their name and will have to search for weapons, equipment and money. .

“With the option to bring in their own custom Loadouts via Loadout Drops, squads will encounter and attack enemy squads while preventing the death circle from collapsing to be the last team standing.

“Despite these similarities, there is one huge, colossal and motorized difference between a Battle Royale and an Armored Royale: the Armored Cargo Truck, which offers a few new mechanics that amplify the Warzone formula through heavy vehicle combat.”

And that’s not the only big news for gamers this week, with Activision giving the latest Cold War free access across all platforms.

From now through Tuesday, September 7, gamers will be able to play a number of Cold War modes via the Warzone menu screen.

Free Access players can also enjoy the new Double Agent mode, where you must search for clues to discover hints about the Double Agents in your party, then wipe them out before they sabotage the mission. Or act as a double agent planting bombs and eliminating players who stray too far from the pack.

And after this launch, Activision confirmed that Call of Duty Season 5 would kick off on September 9.

This means new modes, maps and weapons will be launched in Warzone and Cold War, as well as a new event being teased as well.

It will be held at Call of Duty Warzone on September 21, with Activision revealing to fans today:

“Across the world, from the Verdansk war zone to a zoo in the Ural Mountains, there are reports of operators on both sides hearing an unfamiliar voice reciting numbers into their earphones.

“Some have described seeing these ‘numbers’ as a strange visual hallucination, which makes them question their own mental state.

“These are only reports from the operators who have returned to base. Others seem to have gone rogue and suddenly turn against their teammates in the middle of battle.

Evidence is mounting that these rogue operators now only respond to orders from Perseus… The numbers… what do they mean?’
