Fortnite Season 8 will be released between September 12 and September 13 and will feature a new Battle Pass and map update.

Epic Games hasn’t given an exact time for everything to start, but since the Chapter 2 Season 7 finale kicks off on September 12, it seems like a good bet that the new Battle Pass will arrive shortly after.

So for now, we predict that the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 release date is slated to be September 13, around 12 noon BST.

A big part of the launch will be the upcoming Operation: Sky Fire event and the new Season 8 Battle Pass, which is expected to cost around 950 V-Bucks.

Epic Games hasn’t shared any story teasers yet, but there’s a good chance the alien invasion will end and lead to something new.

A new Fortnite event kicks off on September 12 and looks to wrap up some of the loose ends of the ongoing Chapter 2 storyline.

A post from Epic Games reveals the same, telling fans: “With the Mothership’s sights on the secret base of the Imagined Order in Corny Complex, Slone has devised a plan to end the invasion once and for all.

“You’ve been answering her calls, working as an undercover agent for the IO – now it’s time to infiltrate The Last Reality and end the Alien occupation.”

The Fortnite Season 7 Live Event playlist will be available 30 minutes before the start time.

And unlike the Ariana Grande event, there won’t be multiple times for you to tune in.

After the event, that will be the last time you can experience it live.

Operation Sky Fire will be an interactive event, meaning gamers will have to complete a mission when they join the special servers.

Here’s what we know about the new event, with Epic Games confirming this week: “Operation: Sky Fire — Fortnite’s Chapter 2 Season 7 Ending Event — will take place on September 12 at 4 p.m. ET. Join a strike team and sneak aboard the Mothership to deliver IO’s final message to the invading aliens.

“The Operation: Sky Fire event playlist will be available 30 minutes prior to the start for players to jump in and reserve their spot in the mission. Make sure to log in early and be on standby for the start time. “You can join the event with a full lobby of 16 friends, so bring the whole team and more to help you tackle Slone’s secret mission.

“For content creators and players looking to relive the moments of Operation: Sky Fire, please note that replays for the event will not be available. Take the right steps to capture and archive your experience so you can share it with everyone.

“And make sure you wear an appropriate disguise — invading an alien spaceship has to be done in style.”

Further news and teasers are expected to be shared this week as gamers prepare for the Fortnite Season 7 grand finale.
