Naoki Yoshida often gives interviews due to the nature of his job description. Naoki Yoshida is currently not only a director and producer of Final Fantasy XIV. He is also the producer of Final Fantasy XVI accepted.

He must have had very busy months and now some fans are apparently concerned about whether both major tasks can be mastered at all. On the one hand the players of Final Fantasy XIV, but on the other hand certainly also the fans who are waiting for Final Fantasy XVI. Of which, despite high expectations, we have not yet seen anything new this calendar year.

In a recent interview in the famitsu, which revolved around Final Fantasy XIV, Yoshida resolved these concerns. “I recently saw some comments on social media saying, ‘Yoshi-P is too busy working on Final Fantasy XVI, he’s out of the game with Final Fantasy XIV.’ That is absolutely not the case. I am still working very hard on it and I hope you will continue to support me.”

“Mistakes can and will happen during development. Sometimes I see messages that say ‘This’ [Bug] happened because Yoshi-P didn’t see him!’. I make mistakes too, sorry. But we will continue to do our best,” said Yoshida – thanks for the translation, siliconera.
