Call of Duty Cold War Season 5 Patch Notes
Call of Duty Cold War’s Season 5 Update is now available for download and includes everything needed to start the Reloaded Season.
Gamers will have to wait a little longer before they can delve into the new content and now is the perfect time to check out the patch notes.
The latest comments haven’t been shared yet, but Activision has provided early previews of what will be included.
Season 5 Reloaded will boast a lot of Zombies content, with Outbreak and Onslaught going to see major map changes.
Treyarch has also confirmed several other big-ticket items are coming to multiplayer, posting these early patch notes this week:
First featured in the original Black Ops Escalation DLC pack in 2011, Zoo is a medium-sized map designed specifically for 6v6 game modes in Black Ops Cold War, reducing the playable space to the main animal exhibit and park area for multiplayer.
Be sure to take a “ride” on the monorail to get an incredible vantage point of the action below, or head to the souvenir shop to give your enemies a lot of pain for free. Dive into the action with the special Zoo 24/7 Featured Playlist at the launch of Season Five Reloaded.
THE SAI MELEE WEAPON
Those who complete all nine challenges within Warzone OF Black Ops Cold War during the event will receive a new functional melee weapon: the Sai.
Often used in stealth combat sports, this dual-wield melee weapon is the first ever functional weapon to be awarded through a limited-time event. It was introduced to the island of Okinawa hundreds of years ago and was eventually adopted by the local police to help arrest criminals. For an outlaw like Kitsune, who grew up nearly 1,200 miles away in Kobe, it’s ironic to wield one.
First introduced in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare™ 2 (2009), this game mode resembles a respawn-enabled enhanced Search and Destroy. In Demolition, a team of attackers tries to destroy a few bombs, while defenders have to prevent the blasts.
Total chaos ensues when time is extended after the first bomb site is destroyed, giving both teams a chance to play offensively and defensively before the match ends. If there’s a tie, expect even more madness: a single neutral bomb site becomes active, with the first team to detonate it wins the match.
Located in the North Atlantic, Armada was the site of NATO and Warsaw Pact skirmishes over a sunken prototype nuclear submarine. With the Dark Aether spreading across the Atlantic, it seems that nuclear weaponry wasn’t the only volatile element in the area. A dimensional rift has caused an intense surge of energy, leaving the area rich with Aetherium Crystals, Essence… and the voracious undead.
Onslaught gets a new map and narrative Intel with Onslaught Drive-In, as well as a new temporary mode: Diminishing Light, a frantic twist on the traditional formula where the circle shrinks over time. If the Orb collapses on its own, it will implode, destroying you and your duo partner. Shoot it to slow the shrink rate or collect clock powerups to pause the collapse.
In the Outbreak Zones, Requiem reports the presence of a new chest type in addition to the usual small, medium, large, and gold varieties: the mysterious Black Chest.
Like previous world events found in the regions, Requiem agents must discover the exact details of this event. Once they do, they may find that the reward far outweighs the risk…
And expect more when the new Cold War Season 5 Reloaded patch notes are shared in the next 24 hours.
