A new content update for Call of Duty Warzone Season 5 is coming to gamers in North America later today, and it could be one of the last before the arrival of the next game in the franchise.

For now, gamers are focused on figuring out what’s planned for Call of Duty Season 5 Reloaded and how long to wait before they can start playing it.

The good news is that everyone can fully experience the new content as the update arrives simultaneously on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

And because Warzone integrates with Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War, both games will be patched at the same time.

According to Activision, the Call of Duty Warzone Season 5 update time is scheduled for Thursday, September 9, at 5:00 AM BST.

It should be noted that the same update will be available for download on September 8 at 9pm PDT in North America.

A post from Activision explains: “Officially launching next Thursday following updates to Black Ops Cold War on September 7 at 9pm PT and Warzone on September 8 at 9pm PT, Season Five Reloaded introduces a variety of free content in Multiplayer and Zombies , with The Numbers Event delivering content for both games later in the season.

“From a revamped Warzone Rumble known as Clash to a new functional Melee weapon, the battle rages on in the ’80s as we prepare for the upcoming sixth season in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone.”

As usual, there will be a lot of gamers trying to log in and start playing as soon as the update is available, so gamers may see slow downloads for the first few hours.

During Season 5 Reloaded, two new modes will go live in Warzone, while Activision also promises a new event.

It’s not affiliated with Call of Duty Vanguard and Activision has revealed what kind of activities gamers can expect.

The event kicks off with the mobile channels around Verdansk strengthening the links of the “Dragovich program” – also known as the Numbers broadcasts – throughout the region.

The Numbers event will focus on these locations, meaning they will likely be available to explore during normal matches.

Interaction with Mobile Broadcast Station will reward operators with a cash bonus of $2,000 in the current match, more than enough for a set of armor plates at a Buy Station.

The second is directly linked to the limited-time Numbers event: for each unique mobile broadcast station that is activated during the event, you will receive an exclusive reward such as a sticker, a calling card or a charm, in addition to some XP.

In addition to the nine challenges in Warzone around the Mobile Broadcast Stations, the Numbers Event also includes a set of nine challenges within Black Ops Cold War, based on new maps and modes for Season Five Reloaded.
