New Warzone Map Can Be Overshadowed
According to a new fan spot, FOV Sliders could be coming to Call of Duty Vanguard, and with that in mind, Call of Duty Warzone.
The option has become a big talking point among fans because it allows you to expand your field of view and see more of the action around you.
Being able to see more makes it easier to counter threats and this is something that is currently affecting Warzone fans on consoles.
While PC gamers can increase their FOV to around 120, PS4 and Xbox One gamers are limited to 80.
This offers a small benefit to those who play on PC, although Warzone gamers on the console can remove crossplay and fix this problem.
Looks like FOV could be coming to Call of Duty Vanguard when it launches later this year.
A teaser image showing the option was shared by Sledgehammer studio development director Adam Iscove on Twitter and features PlayStation button input.
And while this may not sound great to those who play Call of Duty Warzone, it should be noted that both games will be integrated.
This includes setting up a new anti-cheat system to help reduce aimbots and hackers.
Warzone’s Pacific map launches with the brand new anti-cheat system for PC, and Raven is currently putting the system through its final stages and extensive testing.
This means there’s a good chance that a future Call of Duty Warzone update that brings the latest Vanguard content to Battle Royale could include this option as well.
Activision has already confirmed that a new Warzone map will be released with Vanguard and is expected to arrive before the end of the year.
In a series of new posts, Activision shared more about the new map, confirming it would be part of a broader content roadmap, adding:
“The Pacific map will feature an all-new island play space built from the ground up, complete with all-new landmarks. Ready to traverse the lush landscapes, rocky outcrops and other undisclosed areas all located within this sprawling island?
“Visually, Warzone’s Pacific map will be a change of pace from the war-torn environment of Verdansk to something more vibrant and alive… and something with many secrets hidden in its beauty. There are also plans for continuous and fresh experiences during your stay in the Pacific.
“The island is about the size of Verdansk and built on lessons from the community over almost two years. The result is a fun and incredibly engaging gameplay space with plenty of interesting points to explore and exceptionally deep combat potential.”
