NBA 2K22 will be out this week on PlayStation, Xbox, PC and Nintendo platforms, with no early access.

So for anyone who wants to get in early, you won’t have to queue when it comes to the biggest basketball games launch this year.

Unlike in the past, anyone who purchases a copy of NBA 2K22 will get access at the same time, though future support is unlikely to be unified.

Most NBA 2K updates launch depending on the platform, meaning PS4 and Xbox One will get different patches than those on the next generation.

This is usually due to the variety of content available, and the latest platforms to get updates are usually PC and Nintendo.

The City remains the next-gen destination for gamers, while the Neighourhood remains the haunt of those on PS4 and Xbox One.

Both have received updates, with 2K offering new quests for those planning to explore the city limits, telling fans this week:

“Open-world RPG players will be familiar with the kind of atmosphere we’re going for. You don’t just get dragged from cutscene to cutscene. Instead, you choose who to talk to and when to initiate countless unique interactions with interesting personalities filmed in cinematic style.

“It’s a lot of fun to play and allows us to add more narrative beats and storylines than ever before, deepening the sense of living in a real, breathing world.

Not only will things happen to you that you have no control over, just like in real life, but the choices you make, in everything from playstyle to interview responses, unlock mini story arcs and rewards that tailor the experience to what’s going on. is in the career of your MyPLAYER.”

Meanwhile, those going to the Neighborhood will have to prepare their sea legs as they will be on a ship.

The ship is built with five levels, starting in the lobby on Deck 4, with NPC Heather on hand to help you navigate the ship and offer tutorials to ease your stay.

WHEN IS NBA 2K22 OUT?

The NBA 2K22 release date has been confirmed to be Friday, September 10, 2021.

As mentioned above, there is no early access period for this year’s release on any platform.

There’s also no new demo to play before it all kicks off, so September 10 is the time for everyone to get access.

No release time has been announced for when NBA 2K22 will be playable on Friday, but based on past launches, it could be available by Midnight EDT.

The 2K22 team may reveal more as we get closer to launch on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC.
