Gamers have been busy for the past few weeks and are now ready for the next challenges that launch with PUBG Mobile Update 1.6.

Tencent has been teasing the new expansion all week, confirming that a major invasion will take place when the download goes live.

The full patch notes haven’t been shared yet, but we have a pretty good idea of what’s planned for the new update.

A series of posts from the PUBG Mobile team have confirmed that there will be plenty of new content to discover, telling fans online:

“Version 1.6 goes straight to you players, and so does the epic Cell-Matrix!

“If only it were that simple… Command tells us a dangerous meteorite is hurtling straight toward Erangel! Hopefully you are ready to survive the Yarilo invasion.

“Yarilo invades Erangel, the cell matrix is unleashed and things get more exciting than ever before! Do you have what it takes to survive in version 1.6? You will soon find out!

“The plan would have worked out perfectly… Except for one detail. DynaHex didn’t know that a robot on the Cell Matrix was infected by the Yarilo… Now Cell Matrix passengers must fight the infected robots to save themselves.”

So expect giant robots and other big events to be unleashed when PUBG Mobile 1.6 arrives later this week.

WHAT IS THE PUBG MOBILE UPDATE TIME?

According to the latest reports, PUBG Mobile Update 1.6 will be available for download between Friday, September 10 and Sunday, September 12.

Tencent announced last week that it would be releasing the next patch the following week, suggesting it will happen in the UK sometime on Saturday morning.

As always, it’s up to Tencent to announce exactly when the new patch will be available for installation on Android and iOS devices.

When it comes to schedule, we expect the PUBG Mobile update time to be set around 1:00 AM BST.

It should be noted that Tencent delivers its patches using a regional rollout system, meaning some gamers will have to wait longer than others.

Tencent has also confirmed that they have listened to fan feedback and built the new version of the game around the information they received.

Tencent has also teased that several fan-favorite game modes are being brought back as part of the new update.

The vote has already been taken by gamers, meaning the full results will be announced during the rollout of Update 1.6.

“PUBG MOBILE Update 1.6 is fast approaching and that means new content, two new Royale passes and more that I can’t quite name yet,” Tencent told fans this week.

“But with all the craziness happening around the world this year, it seems like 2021 has flown by for all of us. So what better time than now to take a moment to reflect on the past. We want everyone to think back to their favorite modes in the history of PUBG MOBILE and tell us which one was your favorite and why it matters to you.”
