It is a difficult time for video game music concerts. Thomas Böcker, responsible for concerts such as Final Symphony and Symphonic Fantasies, did not sit still during the pandemic. Immediately is Merregnon: Land of Silence available – free.
With the symphonic anime, the makers around Thomas Böcker and Yoko Shimomura want to inspire children and young people for classical music. A magical story brings the young audience closer to the symphonic sounds in a playful way.
Merregnon: Land of Silence is specially designed for children and families and follows the tradition of classics such as Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf and Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals. Miru’s story is told.
It tells the story of the orphan Miru, who embarks on an unforgettable adventure with her friend Hikito and the faithful dog Mako to find out what plagues the mysterious, peaceful land of Merregnon. Merregnon: Land of Silence inspires with music, narration and beautiful illustrations. It allows a whole new audience to experience the beauty of the orchestral sound.
Merregnon is now available on the website of Konserthueset Stochholm (Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra), who recorded the music, ready to stream for free. The anime lasts about 45 minutes and has German subtitles.
