Fortnite Operation Sky Fire event
After a long season of alien invasion, Fortnite fans are gearing up for Operation Sky Fire.
Season 7 comes to an end with Operation Sky Fire, which comes out on September 12.
Fans who live in the UK will have to wait until 9pm BST to play the event, which centers around the alien invasion.
Although the event doesn’t start until 9pm UK time, Epic Games recommends logging in early to avoid disappointment.
The Operation Sky Fire playlist is available from 8.30pm UK time, although it might be worth jumping in even earlier.
The event cannot be replayed once it’s over, so it’s important to get to the servers early.
On the plus side, Operation Sky Fire supports 16-person lobbies, so you can play with many of your friends.
“The Operation: Sky Fire events playlist will be available 30 minutes prior to the start for players to jump in and reserve their spot in the mission,” explains Epic.
Make sure to log in early and be on standby for the start. You can join the event with a full lobby of 16 friends, so bring the whole team and more to help you tackle Slone’s secret mission .”
The event revolves around the alien invasion, where players must infiltrate The Last Reality and send a message.
“With the mothership’s sights on the secret Imagined Order base at Corny Complex, Slone has devised a plan to end the invasion once and for all,” reads an epic message.
“You’ve been answering her calls, working as an undercover agent for IO – now it’s time to infiltrate The Last Reality and end the Alien occupation.”
It is believed that the game will go offline once the event ends. There’s a good chance it will return when Season 8 kicks off on September 13.
At the end of the season, Epic warned players to complete missions and spend gold bars before the event starts.
Again, this means that the new season will start almost immediately, or at least after a period of prolonged server downtime.
To ensure that players can spend their gold bars, islanders and vending machines sell goods at discounted prices.
All outstanding Battle Stars are automatically exchanged for random rewards. The same goes for alien artifacts.
