FIFA 22 fans are counting down to the release of the new gameplay demo for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PC.

If EA Sports follows a similar schedule to previous years, the FIFA 22 demo should be out sometime this week.

FIFA gameplay demos typically launch two weeks before the full game, meaning the game should be released on September 14 on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

New EA updates and game releases usually come out at 6pm UK time, so chances are we’ll see something in the next 24 hours.

Worryingly, however, EA Sports has not yet made an official announcement regarding the FIFA 22 demo.

This is especially important, since FIFA 21 ended up not having a gameplay demo at all.

EA Sports told fans it would instead focus on “delivering the best full game experience for current and next-gen consoles”.

“We are not releasing a demo for FIFA 21,” reads a tweet from EA Sports. “Instead, we’ve made the decision to dedicate our development team’s time to delivering the best full game experience for current and next-gen consoles.”

Express Online has reached out to EA Sports for confirmation on the FIFA 22 demo and when it will launch.

With FIFA 22 launching within two weeks, EA Sports has finally revealed the game’s top-rated players.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are both in the top five.

Lionel Messi tops the table with an overall score of 93. Robert Lewandowski is second with 92, followed by Cristiano Ronaldo with 91.

Kevin De Bruyne, Kylian Mbappé, Neymar Jr and Jan Oblak are also in the top ten, alongside Harry Kane, N’Golo Kanté and Manuel Neuer.

More reviews will be revealed over the course of the week, hopefully with the gameplay demo on September 14.

FIFA 22 Top Ten Highest Rated Players…

Lionel Messi (RW) – Argentina

Robert Lewandowski (ST) – Poland

Cristiano Ronaldo (ST) – Portugal

Kevin De Bruyne (CM) – Belgium

Kylian Mbappe (ST) – France

Neymar Jr (LW) – Brazil

Jan Oblak (GK) – Slovenia
