Another Amazon PS5 stock drop is expected
There’s a chance even more PS5 stock will be released this week by another leading UK retailer.
The month had been pretty bleak to a raft of new stocks at Argos, GAME and Very digital stores.
What made this even more surprising is that they all went live within an hour or two of each other, making it one of the best days to buy a next-gen console.
And a new report coming out this week suggests more PS5 restocks are planned.
According to PS5 Stock UK – a reliable stock tracker that shared the news about Game and Argos before they happened – Amazon UK could be the next store to offer PS5 stock this week.
The internet giant has been consistently associated with a restock this month, but hasn’t released anything new so far.
But that could all change on Wednesday, September 15, with the PS5 Stock UK Twitter account sharing this post:
“Argos, Very & GAME are still in stock! hold off? Well, tomorrow (15/09) we might see a drop at Amazon. ”
So far, this drop has not been confirmed by Amazon and that means this latest news should be taken with a grain of salt and treated as a prediction of what might happen this week.
Sony is also launching a major update to its PS5 console range on September 15, telling gamers today:
“Tomorrow we are excited to launch our second major PS5 system software update to all PS5 owners worldwide.
“The update includes a number of improvements to the PS5 console experience and 3D audio support for built-in TV speakers.
“It also features M.2 SSD storage expansion, which allows PS5 players to store and play PS5 games, PS4 games and media apps directly from the expansive high-speed storage.
“We are also expanding mobile features starting tomorrow with support for PS Remote Play over mobile networks and the ability to watch Share Screen broadcasts on the PS app starting next Thursday, September 23.”
Knowing when a PS5 replenishment is due can be vital, but it’s also worth knowing how each retailer handles their shipments.
And here are a few examples of how best to try and buy a PlayStation 5 console from leading UK retailers:
ARGOS: The Argos website is notorious for crashing and not being able to complete purchases when there is a lot of site traffic. Inventory trackers recommend using the Argos mobile app and keeping an eye on local store listings.
GAME: GAME is a UK retailer offering the most regular stock updates for PS5 consoles. However, console hunters have been warned to use Guest Checkout as this option is less likely to crash when completing a purchase. The latest PS5 stock took place on September 14.
AMAZON UNITED KINGDOM: Amazon UK works better under tension, but still has a few kinks worth noting. Creating an account with your card details is a good start, and gamers should also try adding a console to their wish list before checking out. More stock is expected in September, possibly this week.
