Jagged Alliance fans have been waiting for a real third installment in the series for years. THQ Nordic now has the evening showcase Jagged Alliance 3 announced.
The third installment is being developed by the strategy experts at Haemimont Games, who are known for their work on the Tropico series, Surviving Mars, Victor Vran, and a host of other games.
The studio must “create a worthy successor to the popular series”. Tactically demanding turn-based combat and exploring a large game world are at the forefront.
Players take command of a mercenary army in the fictional state of Grand Chien. A country plunged into chaos by the seizure of power by a paramilitary organization called “The Legion”.
Jagged Alliance fans get to train local militias and set up battle groups. There should also be mercenaries you already know from the series. A co-op multiplayer mode is also promised.
