Nintendo Switch fans can save big on games as part of the latest eShop sale.

The Nintendo Switch Blockbuster Sale is live on Nintendo eShop from now until October 3.

As part of the sale, Nintendo Switch owners can save on first-party Switch games.

Since Nintendo-developed games rarely get discounts or lose value, it’s definitely worth checking out the eShop to see what’s on offer.

The Blockbuster Sale includes games such as Mario Odyssey and Link’s Awakening, as well as the excellent 51 Worldwide Games.

“The Blockbuster Sale has started in Nintendo eShop! Save up to 75% on your next Nintendo Switch game, including titles like Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, 51 Worldwide Games and more until October 3!” reads a Nintendo message.

Despite the description, sSome games – such as Super Bomberman R – have been discounted by more than 90%.

The aforementioned multiplayer party game costs just £4.49, while This War of Mine Complete Edition is reduced from £35.99 to just £3.23.

Other highlights on the eShop include Civilization 6 for £7.49, Borderlands Game of the Year Edition for £9.99 and South Park: The Fractured But Hole for £12.99.

Mortal Kombat XL has dropped to £15.99, which is the same price as The Outer Worlds and BioShock Collection.

As for the first-party games, titles like Mario Odyssey, Link’s Awakening, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Luigi’s Mansion 3 and Splatoon 2 all cost £33.29.

Crash Bandicoot fans are in for a treat too, as N Sane Trilogy is down to £17.49 and Crash Team Racing is down to £14.

The sale kicks off just a few days after the last Nintendo Direct conference, which was packed with big announcements.

Not only did fans get a look at Bayonetta 3, Metroid Dread and Kirby and the Forgotten Land, but Nintendo also confirmed plans to add another level to Switch Online.

Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack gives subscribers the chance to play a selection of N64 and Mega Drive games.

“Play an ever-growing library of Nintendo 64 and SEGA Mega Drive games anytime, anywhere with Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, a new membership starting at the end of October,” a Nintendo tweet reads.

This includes games like Super Mario 64, Star Fox 64 and Sin and Punishment on N64, as well as Zelda Ocarina of Time and Mario Tennis.

On the Mega Drive side are games like Streets of Rage 2, Gunstar Heroes and Phantasy Star 4.
